Morris Smith, the grandfather of the current owner, founded Smith Company in 1946 as a furniture manufacturing and upholstery factory. The business expanded into foam products and upholstery supplies under the owner’s father, Harold Smith. David Smith has continued to develop and expand related foam product lines for custom furniture factories and the foam packaging user.
